Scott College Celebrates Year 9 Students' Hard Work

A huge congratulations to the Year 9 students here at Scott College on their effort and hard work in the “Step into the NHS” project.
The competition encourages students to pick an NHS career that interests them and create a job advertisement to tell their friends and other young people about it. Students delved into the various career pathways available whilst also honing in on their research and presentation skills along the way.
Our Year 9 students gathered together in an extra long assembly to watch and celebrate the advertisements they created as part of the project.
Towards the end of the assembly, certificates were handed out by Mrs. Merricks, Head of School, and Miss Frier, Headteacher, to those involved in the project.
Mrs. Merricks expressed her joy, saying, "I am so pleased to be part of such a lovely celebration." Mrs. Chalmers added, "I am so, so proud of you all, and you are all amazing in my eyes." In addition, Miss Frier also shared her thoughts, commenting: "It's so lovely to see the students enjoy their work, learn, and have fun creating their adverts."
Everyone is eagerly awaiting the voting results in June, when the NHS will announce the winner of the national competition. Fingers crossed!
