Sports Students Achieve Activity First Aid Level 3 Qualification

Today marked a significant milestone for our dedicated Year 12 and 13 Sports Students as they proudly achieved their Activity First Aid Level 3 Qualification.

After two intensive days of training, they have mastered essential skills crucial for emergency response and care.

Throughout the course, our students delved into an array of units covering critical aspects of first aid. From CPR and AED training to handling wounds, bleeds, seizures, burns, and scalds, they have equipped themselves with the knowledge and techniques necessary to respond effectively in emergencies. Additionally, they learnt to address bone, joint, and muscle injuries, as well as head and spinal injuries, chest injuries, eye injuries, anaphylaxis, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, and other major illnesses. They are also prepared to handle bites, stings, and the effects of extreme heat and cold.

This certification stands as a testament to their dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others. As they venture into their post-18 journeys, whether pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or exploring other avenues, the skills they have acquired will undoubtedly prove invaluable.

A huge congratulations to all students who have completed this rigorous training. Your accomplishment is not only a personal triumph but also a commendable contribution to the safety and welfare of our community. Well done!
