Physiotherapy Masterclass
Our Year 12 students were lucky to have a Physiotherapy medical masterclass, delivered by Bradley Halliday from the University of Plymouth.
He was able to explain the role of a Physiotherapist and that they help to restore movement, function and wellbeing following injury, illness or disability.
They can work in a variety of settings such as hospital wards, clinics and theatres as well as out in the community doing home visits, rehabilitation centres and can work within sport. He discussed the entry requirements for University courses and stressed to students the importance of doing their research and demonstrating that you have an understanding of what Physiotherapy is and the skills required.
It was a really informative session and quite a few of our students took away lots of useful information about Physiotherapy for consideration as their future career pathway.
