A Glimpse of Oxford: Opening Doors to Future Opportunities

Fourteen Year 11 and 12 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Exeter College at the University of Oxford, gaining valuable insight into what studying at one of the world’s leading universities could look like.
The day began with an introduction to the Oxford and Cambridge application process, giving students a clear overview of what is required to apply to these highly competitive institutions. This was followed by a guided tour of Exeter College’s stunning historic buildings and grounds. Founded in 1314, Exeter is the fourth oldest of the 32 Oxford colleges, and students were able to experience first-hand its incredible academic environment.
After lunch in the college hall, students continued their visit with a trip to the Natural History Museum, where they explored a wide range of fascinating exhibits. The day concluded with a private biology lecture delivered by an Oxford academic, where students had the unique opportunity to handle live animals and engage directly with university-level teaching.
