GCSE Results Bring Joy and Pride to Scott College

GCSE Results Day was a moment of immense pride and celebration at Scott Medical and Healthcare College, as our Year 11 students marked the end of five years of dedication, growth, and determination.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students opened their envelopes to discover the results of their hard work - results that will now shape their next steps into further education, apprenticeships, and beyond.
We are proud to report another outstanding year of academic success at Scott College. These achievements reflect the high quality of our teaching, the unwavering support from our staff, and, most importantly, the ambition and perseverance of our students.
Headteacher Anita Frier shared her congratulations, saying:
“These results are a credit to the determination, resilience, and ambition of our students. They have not only worked hard to achieve academic success — they have shown real character in shaping their own journeys. What is most inspiring is that every student here has written their own story. They’ve set their own goals, faced challenges with maturity, and taken the lead in their learning. We couldn’t be more proud.”
This year, students achieved strong results across a wide range of subjects, including English, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts. Many have now secured the qualifications they need to progress into Scott Sixth Form, specialist further education, or exciting apprenticeship opportunities.
Success Stories Worth Celebrating
Among the many impressive achievements:
Sophie said: “I am overwhelmed with happiness! I can’t stop smiling! To get the highest grade possible in Health and Social Care of a Distinction* is incredible! I’m looking forward to coming back to Scott Sixth Form in a few weeks to study A Level Chemistry, Biology and English.”
Max shared: “I am delighted with my results. I’ve already secured a position to do a Weapons Engineering Apprenticeship with the Royal Navy, but now, because of my results, I can go onto the Fast Track Scheme — meaning I can progress even faster.”
Cameron added: “I am really pleased. I’ve been told I got the highest marks in the year for Maths and Further Maths, which is great as I’m coming back to Scott Sixth Form to take A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry.”
Mason said: “I am so happy with my results. I worked really hard but never expected to get the grades I did. My teachers told me I’m the top-performing student in the year, so I’m even more chuffed! I’m looking forward to studying A Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology at Scott Sixth Form.”
Erin proudly shared: “I can’t stop smiling! I am dyslexic, but through my hard work I managed to get a 9 in English. I’m really proud of myself.”
Each of our students has a story worth celebrating. Whether they are returning to Scott Sixth Form, heading into apprenticeships, or taking the first steps into the workplace, their accomplishments speak volumes about their grit, talent, and potential.
