Year 9 ‘Soak a Teacher’ Event Splashes Past Major Charity Milestone!

The sun was out, the water balloons were flying, and the school spirit was at an all-time high this week thanks to a student-led initiative!
As part of our ongoing Year 9 Charity Challenge Tuesdays, enterprising Year 9 students Lily and Scarlett completely planned and executed a brilliant 'Soak a Teacher' activity.
Staff members bravely stepped up to the target line, while students eagerly lined up to make a splash for two incredibly worthy causes: St Luke’s Hospice and YoungMinds.
The hilarious event was a massive success, bringing plenty of laughter to the school yard while pushing our overall fundraising efforts closer to the ultimate goal. The Year 9 group set an ambitious target of £1,000 for each charity. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our students, staff, and families, the current total has officially surged past the £800 mark per charity!
Reaching over 80% of our goal for each individual cause means we are well on our way to the grand total. We are heading into September and the new academic year feeling incredibly positive that we will smash our final targets!
A huge congratulations and thank you to Lily and Scarlett for their fantastic leadership, to the brave teachers who volunteered to get soaked, and to every student who has contributed to date. Well done!
