The visit gave students the opportunity to explore some of the university’s cutting-edge research and technology, including robotics, virtual reality, and innovative methods of growing plants in small spaces to support isolated communities.

Oscar said,

“Seeing the technology and speaking to university students made science feel much more real and achievable. It’s definitely made me think about studying a STEM subject in the future.”

Students also took part in a guided tour of the campus, which included viewing a student accommodation room and speaking directly with current undergraduates about university life.

The event was an inspiring experience that helped raise aspirations and encouraged students to consider their next steps in science and higher education. Well done to all students involved for representing the school so positively.
