Annual Summer Camp Adventure for Our CCF Students

Our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) students recently participated in their annual summer camp—a thrilling and rewarding experience packed with opportunities for adventure, growth, and teamwork. It remains one of the standout events on the CCF calendar, and this year was no different.

Over the course of the week, cadets encountered a range of outdoor challenges and activities, navigating ever-changing weather conditions—from heavy downpours to bright, sunny skies. Their enthusiasm and determination never faltered as they approached each task with resilience and a strong sense of camaraderie.

The programme included walking expeditions across challenging terrain, field craft exercises, and an energetic game of capture the flag. These activities encourage strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration, pushing students beyond their comfort zones while developing practical survival and problem-solving skills.

Evenings offered a chance to unwind, as students worked together to prepare and cook their meals before retreating to the bunkhouse to rest and reflect. A standout moment was the night walk, an atmospheric and demanding challenge that saw cadets navigating unfamiliar paths beneath the stars, relying heavily on teamwork, communication, and focus.

Throughout the camp, the students displayed remarkable determination, adaptability, and team spirit. Though they returned to school feeling a little tired, they brought back increased confidence, strengthened friendships, and plenty of memorable experiences.

We’re extremely proud of their achievements and the positive attitude they maintained throughout the week. Congratulations to all who took part!
