Mr Broomfield kicked off the day coming 2nd place out of 175 participants. He had to swim 600m, followed by a 12 mile cycle and finished with a 3.1 mile run.

Next, two sixth formers performed amazingly with Charley W taking 1st place for female under 16's.  Followed by Emma C taking 2nd place for female under 16's. 

Finally, three key stage 4 students stepped up to the start line in their first ever triathlon and performed very well.

Mr Broomfield said "It's great to see the students pushing themselves physically and mentally. Throughout the race they faced challenges, the sea was very choppy but students battled on. To see them showing huge resilience and keep going was really inspiring."
