On Friday 25th June and Friday 2nd July we took a group of our Duke of Edinburgh award students on their first practice expeditions. They enjoyed exploring Mount Edgcombe Country Park and developing their navigation skills.

We offer the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh award here at Scott College. It is a fantastic award that challenges students to push themselves out of their comfort zone and strive to learn new skills and meet new people. Many of the students who complete the award at Scott find the award transformational and describe it as one of their highlights of their time at Scott College. I am a very proud DofE Leader, I have fond memories of camping with students, and exploring the beautiful countryside here in the southwest, and watching students push themselves beyond what they believed was possible. So why not give it a go, I promise you won't regret it!
